DID YOU KNOW THAT 60 MILLION GIRLS ARE NOT IN SCHOOL?
I’m DOING IT IN A DRESS TO CHANGE IT.

Hi. I’m JMAC.
http://jmacstepback.com/2011/10/25/did-it-in-a-dress/
I am SO excited at the thought of helping at least 2 awesome chicks in Africa get an education and be empowered. The possibilities are endless.
I did some maths and if everyone on Facebook gives just $5, we can raise $9,580 and this could mean 38 girls in S.L go to school for a whole year! Please pass this on to everyone you know!
Saturday I attended the The Boroughs Festival in Port Melbourne in a School Dress along with 2 girlfriends and we tore up a storm! From riding the Globe half pipe skating, to dancing to the New York Dolls! (http://theboroughs.com.au) We then moved onto China Town where the local City of Melbourne firefighters got involved in some dress action and then I went and MC'd for Bloc Party on stage, rhyming in a dress!
We had an amazing time, met some awesome, giving people and all in the name of a good cause. Not only did we raise awareness and put a smile on people's faces, we raised some coin too!
If you haven't already, please get behind this. Our funny video of the weekend wrap up will be out next week. You have all of October to donate online. Every young girl in the world deserves a chance to BE amazing. Cheers

Do It In A Dress is an initiative of One Girl, a non-profit organisation that empowers women and girls to create change in their communities. Our goal is to raise $40,000 so we can provide education scholarships for 100 girls in Sierra Leone. Do It In A Dress will also provide startup funding for LaunchPad, a social enterprise that will provide low cost, eco-friendly sanitary pads to women and girls living in rural areas. You can read more about our work here.
It only costs $250 (USD) for a year of education for one girl. If you want to support girls in Sierra Leone, you can..
